Michelle Giles growth promotion

ACIS has promoted Michelle Giles to the key role of office manager to oversee the continued growth of the business.

As well as retaining her role as PA to Chief Executive Graham O’Neill, Michelle’s new position will allow her to oversee the day to day running of the three businesses – ACIS Ltd, ACIS Distribution Services Ltd and CRS Ltd, the group’s procurement business.

The role includes managing the administration team and the central billing function, which consolidates the invoicing across the group and its eight shareholder member companies that represent the ACIS brands at a regional level.

The move is part of a broader growth strategy, as demand for ACIS’s added value services, including its web-based portal and ASCRIBE, its online stock management and replenishment service, continue to grow year-on-year.

Business growth

Michelle, who began working for ACIS in September 2001, said: “I’ve always worked as PA to the Chief Executive, but my day-to-day responsibilities have changed and developed over the years as the business has grown.

“I now work in a central role to make sure we function as one team, which involves knowledge and experience-sharing in terms of the latest developments. These  include the growth and the evolution of the central billing function.

“I also attend industry functions and customer events which help me establish relationships with customers and suppliers,” added Michelle.

Graham O’Neill said: “Michelle is the beating heart of this organisation –  she runs the all-important administrative function and answers directly to me on the day-to-day performance of the business. This promotion underlines the crucial role that she plays as ACIS continues to grow.”

Prior to joining ACIS, Michelle, who lives in Lapworth, Warwickshire, worked in administration and customer services roles at Midlands Electricity and the social services department of Walsall Council.

Michelle, who has also lived in the US and France, is married with a son at university.
