ACIS develops enhanced repair tracking for Europcar

ACIS, the leading distribution network to the automotive accident repair market, has developed a bespoke and enhanced repair tracking technology for Europcar as part of its renewal as the preferred supplier of paint and consumables into the hire vehicle giant’s approved bodyshop network in the UK.

The technology, which builds upon Europcar’s existing bodyshop priority system, will boost efficiency by allowing the European rental company to more accurately manage repairs, reduce key-to-key times and get hire vehicles back on the road more rapidly, a factor that will, in turn, provide greater choice to customers.

French-owned Europcar is one of the world’s leading car rental companies operating in more than 160 countries. It has a fleet of 200,000 vehicles and hires in excess of eight million cars per annum.

Ian Parry, Europcar’s fleet motor damage manager, said: “We have worked with ACIS for the last three years and have been impressed with the added value offerings and levels of proactivity which have helped us to enhance our productivity.

“We operate in the competitive car rental market where vehicle accidents are an occupational hazard, so we require rapid repair that ensures that customers are always mobile – we simply cannot afford operational down time.
