ACIS ASCRIBE version three

Bodyshop managers can expect even more enhanced stock control and replenishment accuracy as ACIS launches the third generation of ASCRIBE, its unique and innovative web-based inventory management and ordering solution.

The new version, ASCRIBE v3, offers a more user-friendly interface and instead of utilising a handheld scanner that requires a docking station and a PC to download the web-based solution, the new smartphone-style scanners automatically update the stock and management reports in real time using WiFi or 4G connections.

The new functionality enhances what is already a record-breaking product, saving bodyshops an average of 21 per cent in product costs.

The technology not only automatically replenishes stock, but also measures the true efficiency of bodyshop operatives based on hours worked and their use of materials, which provides the ability to set realistic performance targets, for example.

The technology continues to add value to subscribing bodyshops and has accumulated almost £6 million worth of paint and dry goods orders since its introduction in 2015. This is up more than £2 million from last year’s total.

ACIS CEO Graham O’Neill said: “ASCRIBE v3 is the technology that continues to deliver for bodyshops is terms of helping them to be more efficient and profitable. The new developments, including the more user-friendly interface, have made it even more straightforward to use, which means a greater number of accident repair centres will make use of its benefits going forward.

“As we go around the country, we talk to customers and, more importantly, listen to their wishlists which has enabled us to refine the proposition – this has manifested itself in ASCRIBE v3.
